WE do not interact with the couple personally, hence we cannot make assumptions that the president’s wife is abusing an elderly. I AM 86 years old, first dean of a college of nursing and worked as a nurse educator and other capacities until 77 years old that I NEVER FELT UNTIL now to be mentally incapacitated. I BELEIVE that the elderly with goals to stay active and help others can remain mentally capable of meeting their goals. I have worked hard as a nurse started from the bedside until dean and interim nursing administrator then back to nurse educator of nursing education department. We might be slow in our movements and slow in responding to personal attacks because we feel to be cautious not to align with a personal attacker and be perceived as we are in the same category of a personal attacker. IF A PERSON HAS good intentions in helping others, their mental capacity is not well affected because their intentions guide them to think well. IF WE ARE LOADED WITH HATRED AND SELFISH GOALS, our mental capacity is easily eroded. What we see in many posts expose how others are loaded with hatred for others as influenced by bad press or maybe they are originally with faulty development of their bad behavior. WE have lost our altruistic values and have diminished to absence of respect on others. HOPE THIS inhumane behavior will not be followed by our younger as our role models have gone astray. MAY THE HOLY SPIRIT help us change our hatred for others and back to the commandment of love thy neighbor.
